Food Bank For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: |

The Food Bank has been in existence
for 21 years. Since that time, many families with children,
seniors, single mothers, unemployed, handicapped, and others
have been helped . We have a refrigerated truck to pick up
donations for our Food Bank ministry. Located in one of the
buildings on our property is a large cooler, which stores the
food after it is picked up from the stores. We also house
numerous freezers for refrigerated items.
Sunday afternoons the food is organized for distribution to the
needy. One of the most rewarding things
is seeing many of the
folk that come to the Food Bank voluntarily attend one of our
worship services. We offer spiritual guidance for the soul
along with physical food for their bodies. Please continue
to pray for this vital ministry. Jesus said, “The poor ye always
have with you.” The Bible clearly tells us that visiting the
sick, feeding the poor, helping the orphans, and ministering to
those
in prison is sharing His love and compassion. I thank God EMBC
is a church that loves and helps all kinds of different
people in all kinds of situations.
